Lip Filler

Lip filler, also known as lip augmentation or lip enhancement, is a cosmetic procedure involving the injection of dermal fillers to add volume, shape, and definition to the lips. The primary goal is to achieve a fuller and more aesthetically pleasing lip appearance. The most common fillers used are hyaluronic acid-based, providing a natural look and feel.

Treatment time varies depending upon what you would like to achieve however you can typically expect the injection time to be approx 10 minutes. The rest of the appointment allows me to calm your nerves, answer questions, put you at ease and more importantly allow your lips to become as numb as possible!

As long as you were injected by a Medical professional who used one of the Top 5 filler brands within the UK, you can have your lips filled with another HA product at MYLA however you must wait at least 3 months before injecting again or swapping brands. 

We predominantly use the Belotero , Teoxane or Restylane portfolio's depending upon what you want to achieve however if you have poorly placed or migrated filler, it may be advised that we dissolve and start over.

 All of the hyaluronic acid based fillers we use are FULLY REVERSIBLE from the time they are administered, until the time they are reabsorbed. So even in the unlikely event, you didn’t like the results, we can reverse them in seconds. 

All cosmetic procedures carry risks and side effects. Common temporary side effects, usually lasting up to 4 days maximum, following your treatment:

• Tenderness at the injection site
• Swelling at the injection site
• Bruising

Less frequent side effects are:

• Severe swelling
• Lumping and product migration
• Infection
• Allergic reaction
• Vascular Occlusion – blocking blood to a vessel and possibly leading to tissue necrosis.

Patients typically score their pain as 3/10 and often say that it was much more manageable than they initially thought. A high strength numbing cream is administered prior to the treatment and there is a numbing agent within the Hyaluronic Acid Gel to make injecting more comfortable for you.
