At MYLA we use Hyalase to reverse and correct fillers that have gone wrong – whether they have been administered incorrectly or have produced undesirable results.
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are normally metabolised by the body over a period of 3 to 24 months, depending on the type used and the area treated. We understand how upsetting it can be for those who have suffered from undesirable results. We see patients from other clinics who come to us for correction.
Hyaluronidase (Hyalase) is an enzyme that causes the breakdown of hyaluronic acid. When the enzyme is injected it dissolves the synthetic hyaluronic acid filler. Hyaluronidase works very quickly, with most of the effect taking place within 24 hours. You should be able to see definite improvement and less filler in the injected area in just a few hours after treatment.
Clients report minimal discomfort during the treatment, but it can sting a little, so lidocaine is used to minimise this sensation.
As your safety is our priority, it is very important to have a test patch with Hyaluronidase. This can be conducted upto 24 hours prior to your treatment and usually takes place at the consultation phase if you are a suitable candidate for the reversal.
